Adam Heavenrich, Managing Director

Adam is a longtime transaction and finance professional with more than 35 years of experience in structuring, selling, acquiring, underwriting and capitalizing senior housing, healthcare and real estate projects. Adam is founder and managing director of Heavenrich & Company, a boutique senior housing investment brokerage firm serving senior housing organizations nationwide. He has served as lead financial advisor to hundreds of publicly and privately-held, for-profit and non-profit assisted living, memory care, independent living and nursing home companies. Since 1994, Heavenrich & Company has closed more than $1.5 billion in transactions. Adam has authored numerous articles in senior housing and healthcare publications and is a frequent speaker and panelist at national and regional industry conferences throughout the country.

Prior to founding Heavenrich & Company, Adam was senior underwriter for real estate lending at the U.S. unit of Sanwa Bank, then the world's fifth-largest bank. Prior to Sanwa, Adam held positions with Shearson Lehman's real estate investment banking subsidiary. Adam began his career as director of sales and marketing and later development director for Universal Medical Buildings, a publicly-traded company that developed medical office and outpatient buildings for hospitals. Universal was designated as a preferred provider for Voluntary Hospitals of America, which, at the time, controlled one of every ten hospital beds in the U.S.

Adam earned his M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management, with concentrations in healthcare and real estate finance. He received a Diploma from the London School of Economics and earned his B.A. in Economics, graduating with distinction, from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He lives in a northern suburb of Chicago with his wife and family.
